Privacy Policy

How QRBento handles input, files and site information.

Last updated: October 23, 2026

QRBento aims to make it possible to create common static QR codes without uploading the contents to a remote generation server. This policy describes the site's initial architecture. Services added later, including advertising or analytics, require updates to this notice before activation.

Data entered into generators

When you type a URL, Wi-Fi network name/password, contact details, email content or event information into a QRBento generator, the information is converted into a QR code by JavaScript in your browser. The initial site does not deliberately send that generator content to QRBento's server or store it in a QRBento account or database.

If you choose to upload a logo, the image is read locally in your browser for QR export. QRBento's initial generator does not upload that image to a server. The generated QR code or SVG may contain the data or logo you supplied; treat exported files accordingly.

Hosting and technical information

Our hosting and content-delivery provider, Cloudflare, may process technical request data, such as IP address, browser details, request times, and security signals, to serve and protect the website. This is distinct from the QR payload you enter in a generator.

Analytics and advertisements

The initial website code does not include Google AdSense tags or third-party visitor analytics scripts. If advertising or analytics is enabled after launch, this policy and the relevant consent experience must be updated to disclose the providers, cookies or device identifiers, purposes, choices and applicable rights. Google and other advertising vendors may then use cookies or similar technologies subject to their policies and applicable law.

Third-party destinations

A QR code may link to Google Maps, Google Calendar, WhatsApp, your email application or a website you choose. When someone scans or opens those links, the destination service may collect information in accordance with its own policies. QRBento does not control linked websites.

Sharing and retention

QRBento's static generator has no account and does not retain QR generation history on its server. Exported files remain under your control. Limited infrastructure security logs may be processed and retained according to the hosting provider's practices.

Security

Browser-only processing reduces unnecessary transmission, but no website or device can be guaranteed perfectly secure. QR patterns themselves are not encryption; a person can read the data by scanning or decoding them.

Children

QRBento is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly solicit children's personal information through user accounts. Please do not enter sensitive information into public-facing QR codes.
